3CX + Activix integration

Hosted Connector

Connect dealership calls to your Activix follow-up process. Give your team useful customer context when the phone rings, then keep supported call and messaging activity with the appropriate Activix lead. Evolute’s hosted connector lets you configure how callers are matched, calls are routed and leads are created or assigned.

Configure the connection around your dealership

Lookup while it rings

The dialled number (DID) selects the account and division. The connector looks up the lead by phone number, and a line under the call shows its status, division, type and advisor before it is answered. It can also create the lead while the phone rings.

  • Inbound routing

Calls go to the lead advisor first, then its BDC agent, then a fallback queue per DID. Leads left untouched for a configurable number of days go straight to the fallback queue.

  • Live routing and screen pop

The lead follows the call through the IVR, queues and transfers, and a lead created live is assigned as soon as the call is answered. When the agent answers, the Activix record can open automatically.

  • Automatic lead creation

Choose whether each queue, agent or department creates leads on inbound calls, outbound calls, both or neither. Each rule sets the lead type, the missed-call policy, the “always new lead” option and the statuses to skip during lookup.

  • Call timeline

Each call is logged in Activix with its duration, agent and outcome. The recording and 3CX AI analysis are added when enabled, and the recording can be compressed to stay within the Activix 10 MB limit. The call’s path is reconstructed: IVR, queues, agents and transfers.

  • Voicemails in Activix

The voicemail lands on the lead with the audio, transcript and a summary. Voicemails and very short outbound calls are logged as contact attempts.

  • AI voicemail detection

On outbound calls, AI recognizes a voicemail greeting and the call is logged as an attempt rather than a conversation. Detection is included with the connector, with no key to supply on your side.

  • Advisor assignment

Rules for advisor, secondary advisor, BDC, F&I and service advisor, based on the 3CX department or agent role. Existing assignments are respected by default, and this can be changed per rule. Default users can be set per account, division or department.

  • Divisions and protected source

New, used and service division mapping, lead source by DID and a first-touch source lock that protects your campaign attribution.

  • SMS and chat

Conversations are logged when they close, and an SMS webhook accepts texts from third-party tools with no duplicates. Lead creation from texts is optional.

  • Click2Call (beta)

Start a 3CX call from Activix with the lead attached, with an optional temporary outbound caller ID. This feature is available in beta.

  • Multiple dealerships

One connector serves several Activix accounts. Agents who work for several dealerships pick the right one with a dial prefix or the caller ID. The bilingual admin panel installs the 3CX configuration in one click and shows every decision in the communications log.

Setup steps

  1. Connect the accounts

We connect your Activix account or accounts with an API key, then your 3CX.

  2. One-click install

A single click installs the CRM template, its parameters and a call script per trunk in 3CX.

  3. Mappings

We map DIDs to accounts and divisions, queues and departments to lead rules, sources by DID, and roles and default users.

  4. Go live

Enable call logging in 3CX to start logging communications in Activix.

  5. Review

Review the first calls in the communications log, which shows the call chain and every decision.

Frequently asked questions

Do we keep our phone numbers?

Yes. Your numbers and trunks stay in your 3CX; the connector simply links your calls and texts to Activix. You replace the built-in Activix telephony without changing your trunk provider.

Will it overwrite the salesperson already on a lead?

Not by default. Assignment rules fill empty fields based on the 3CX department or agent role and respect existing assignments. This can be turned off for a specific rule. Default users can be set per account, division or department for calls with no identified agent.

Can it handle several dealerships?

Yes. One connector serves several Activix accounts, and the dialled number (DID) selects the account and division for each call. The lead source can also be set by DID for each dealership.

What happens to missed or transferred calls?

The call chain is rebuilt from the 3CX call log: IVR, queues, agents and transfers. Each rule sets whether missed calls are logged, and a BDC agent who answered and then transferred the call is credited. With live routing, the lead follows the call through transfers.

Can texts from our SMS tool be logged?

Yes. 3CX texts and chats are logged when the conversation closes, and an SMS webhook accepts texts from third-party tools with no duplicates. Lead creation from texts is optional.

Are the recording and AI analysis included?

Yes, when call recording and the AI features are enabled on your 3CX. The call logged in Activix then includes the recording along with the summary, sentiment and transcription produced by 3CX AI. Activix limits files to 10 MB, and the connector can compress long recordings to stay within that limit.

Do voicemails reach Activix?

Yes. The voicemail is added to the lead with the audio, transcript and a summary. On outbound calls, AI detection recognizes voicemail greetings and logs the call as a contact attempt. This detection is included with the connector.

Can we start calls from Activix and follow calls live?

Yes. Live routing keeps the lead attached to the call through the IVR, queues and transfers, and can open the Activix record on answer. Click2Call, available in beta, starts a 3CX call from Activix with the lead attached, with an optional temporary outbound caller ID.

What do we need to get started?

You need 3CX V20 Pro or AI and an Activix API key. Some features need additional access, which we review with you before turning them on.
