Know what to improve, what to budget and what can wait

A new system, recurring IT problems or an upcoming renewal can raise the same question: what should we do next? Evolute reviews your environment and the decision in front of you, then turns the findings into priorities, options and a practical plan. You get recommendations that explain the work, the expected costs and the reasons behind them.

Bring a clearer picture to the decisions that matter

Assess your current environment
Review infrastructure, licences, accounts and operating practices. Identify gaps, dependencies and equipment that needs attention before committing to changes.
Plan investments and replacements
Build a roadmap around business priorities, equipment lifecycles and budget. Depending on the mandate, planning can cover the next 12 to 36 months.
Review security and recovery priorities
Examine access, multifactor authentication, endpoint and email protection, backups and recovery requirements. Prioritize the work according to the environment and its business impact.
Evaluate cloud and application choices
Assess Microsoft 365, Azure and other proposed changes against your needs, existing systems and operating costs. For AI projects, start with the use case, data involved, permissions and integration requirements.
Coordinate projects and suppliers
Clarify scope, dependencies and responsibilities. Compare proposals, question assumptions and help organize the work between your team and the suppliers involved.
Support technical documentation
Document relevant controls and findings for internal reviews, cyber-insurance questionnaires and work with your privacy or legal advisers.

From business question to actionable recommendation

  1. Define the decision

Establish the objective, constraints, people involved and expected outputs.

  2. Review the facts

Gather the technical and business information needed for the mandate.

  3. Compare the options

Explain priorities, trade-offs, dependencies and estimated costs.

  4. Agree on the next steps

Present a plan your team can act on, with implementation responsibilities identified.

Decisions that need a closer look

Growth, an upcoming renewal or a new security requirement can prompt you to revisit your IT priorities.

  • Your business is growing, moving or opening a new office.

  • Your server or computers are reaching end of life and you don’t know what to replace them with.

  • Your cyber insurance renewal comes with a detailed security questionnaire.

  • You need to comply with Law 25 and don’t know where to start on the technical side.

  • IT spending keeps growing without a clear plan or priorities.

  • Several vendors are proposing different approaches and you need a way to compare them.

We review these issues with you, then set out the order of work and the costs to plan for.

Choose a focused mandate or ongoing guidance

The deliverables depend on the mandate. You can implement the recommendations with Evolute, your own team or another provider.

A defined consulting mandate

Useful when you need an assessment, a second opinion, a project plan or help comparing a purchase. We agree on the questions to answer and the deliverables before starting.

Ongoing IT guidance

Useful when your business needs someone to revisit priorities, prepare budgets and follow progress over time. A vCIO arrangement provides an external IT planning function, with quarterly reviews where agreed.

A plan you can use after the meeting

  • An environment inventory: the systems, services and dependencies relevant to the decision.
  • A prioritized findings register: issues, business impact and the effort needed to address them.
  • A roadmap and budget: work to complete now, work to schedule and decisions to revisit later.
  • Costed recommendations: options, assumptions and implementation considerations explained clearly.

What it isn’t

  • A generic report: the assessment focuses on your business and helps you make decisions and plan the work.
  • An obligation to buy from us: we explain the options, including those we don’t offer, so you can choose.
  • Legal advice: for Law 25, we cover the technical side and work with your advisors.

How pricing works

A defined mandate or ongoing guidance, depending on what you need.

Type of mandate
A one-time assessment, a specific project, or ongoing vCIO guidance with quarterly reviews where agreed.
Size of your environment
The number of users, sites, servers and applications to review.
Scope and deliverables
A quick overview or an in-depth analysis with a detailed roadmap and budget.
Implementation support
Whether we carry out the recommendations, guide your team or coordinate other vendors. Implementation is identified separately when it is outside the consulting mandate.

After a first conversation, you receive a written proposal that spells out the scope of work, the deliverables and the cost.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a managed IT agreement?

No. Consulting can be a separate mandate. We can also provide planning within a managed or co-managed relationship.

Can you work with our current IT team or provider?

Yes. We can review a specific question, contribute specialist knowledge or help coordinate a project. The mandate defines everyone’s role.

What does a vCIO do?

A virtual chief information officer helps connect IT decisions to business priorities, budgets and future needs. The role focuses on planning and guidance; its scope does not automatically include day-to-day technical support.

Will we receive written recommendations?

Yes. The deliverables are identified in the proposal and can include findings, priorities, a roadmap, budget estimates and recommendations.

Can you help with Law 25 or cyber-insurance requests?

We can assess and document technical measures, identify gaps and assist with technical questionnaires. We work with your designated advisers where appropriate; a consulting mandate does not certify legal compliance or guarantee insurance acceptance.

Can you assess a proposed AI tool?

Yes. We can examine the intended workflow, data access, integrations and operational requirements. Any recommendation should answer a defined business need before a product is selected.

What affects the price?

The environment, questions to investigate, depth of review, deliverables and coordination required. Implementation is identified separately when it is outside the consulting mandate.
