What we take care of
Managed IT gives the routine work, urgent issues and longer-term decisions a team responsible for following through. Here are the nine areas we can look after for your business.
Your managed services plan defines the systems we look after, the responsibilities we take on and the services included in your monthly agreement. Software licences, project work and any additional coverage are identified in your proposal.
Employee support and help desk
Your employees can contact us through the support portal, by email or by phone. We troubleshoot the problem, keep track of the request and follow it through to resolution.
Help with computers, email, Microsoft 365, printers and everyday access issues.
Remote assistance and coordination of on-site work when needed.
Guidance on the tools we deploy, including password managers and secure sign-in.
Support in English and French during business hours.
Workstation and server monitoring
We monitor managed workstations and servers around the clock to identify issues that need attention and act before they cause more disruption.
Device availability, disk capacity and important service failures.
Hardware and system alerts that need investigation.
Follow-up on recurring problems and signs of deterioration.
A maintained inventory of the devices under management.
Managed cybersecurity and incident response
We combine protection for your devices, accounts and email with managed threat detection and response, backed by a 24/7 security operations centre.
Endpoint protection with managed detection and response (MDR/SOC).
Microsoft 365 identity threat monitoring and email protection.
Multi-factor authentication and access controls appropriate to your environment.
Incident coordination, containment, recovery and documentation when an attack occurs.
We manage updates for Windows and supported business applications, with planned maintenance windows and follow-up on devices that miss an update.
Review and testing appropriate to the update and affected systems.
Scheduled deployment, including outside working hours where appropriate.
Patch status and compliance tracking across managed devices.
Follow-up on failed installations, exceptions and required restarts.
Backups, restore testing and recovery
We monitor backups and test restores so recovery is something you can plan for. The scope covers the servers, critical workstations and Microsoft 365 data identified in your agreement.
Backup configuration, monitoring and investigation of failed jobs.
Agreed data coverage, retention and recovery priorities.
Restore tests to check that selected data can be recovered.
Help recovering files, mailboxes or systems after deletion, failure or an incident.
Microsoft 365, identity and licensing
We administer Microsoft 365 and the accounts, permissions and device policies that support it. As a Microsoft CSP partner, we also manage licensing as your needs change.
Accounts, groups, mailboxes, access rights and licence assignments.
Multi-factor authentication and supported single sign-on.
Intune policies for enrolled devices, including appropriate security settings.
Sharing permissions in Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
Employee onboarding and offboarding
We follow a documented process when someone joins, changes roles or leaves, so access and equipment keep pace with your team.
Prepare the computer, accounts, applications and approved access for a new employee.
Assign the right groups and business password-vault access for the role.
Remove access, adjust licences and retain or transfer business data as instructed when someone leaves.
Coordinate device recovery and review shared credentials that may need to change.
Networks, remote access and documentation
We look after the connections your business depends on and keep the technical information organized so the environment can be supported properly.
Firewalls, business Wi-Fi and the network configuration supporting your operations.
Approved remote access for employees working away from the office.
Troubleshooting and coordination with relevant connectivity providers.
Current documentation of managed systems, settings and authorized administrative access.
Your business keeps ownership of its data and documentation.
IT planning, budgets and quarterly reviews
Your IT advisor, sometimes called a virtual CIO, helps you decide what needs attention now and what should be planned for later.
Quarterly reviews of your environment, service issues and priorities.
Equipment condition, replacement planning and licence needs.
Security risks, backup priorities and upcoming projects.
A practical roadmap and budget discussions tied to your business plans.
Make the secure way the easy way to work
Good IT management also improves the small things employees deal with every day. We help choose, configure and introduce tools that fit the way your team works.
Business password managers
Create and fill unique passwords without having to remember them all. We can help set up a business password manager, organize access and use controlled vaults when work credentials need to be shared. Individual accounts remain the preferred option wherever available.
Simpler, stronger sign-in
Supported single sign-on reduces the number of separate logins your team manages. Multi-factor authentication adds protection, and passkeys can provide a convenient, phishing-resistant sign-in method on compatible services and devices.
File sharing with clear permissions
Share documents with the intended people and give them the access they need. We help configure Microsoft 365 sharing so employees can collaborate with colleagues and clients using approved tools and review or remove access when it is no longer needed.
Devices configured consistently
Standard applications, managed settings, automatic screen locks and supported device encryption help employees work with a consistent setup. We look after the configuration and recovery arrangements so these protections are manageable for the business.
We explain how to use the tools and help with adoption. The goal is to make good habits easier to maintain as your team changes.
If an attack happens, there is a response to coordinate
Security includes what happens after an alert. We help contain the problem, restore affected operations and document the response with you.
01
Analyze the alert
Security alerts are analyzed 24/7 through managed detection and response. We use the available information to identify what needs investigation and which systems or accounts may be affected.
02
Contain the threat
A compromised computer can be isolated remotely from the network. We coordinate appropriate containment actions for the affected environment, including access restrictions and credential changes.
03
Recover affected operations
We work with you on recovery priorities, restoration from available backups and the checks needed before returning affected systems to use. The response depends on the incident and the environment.
04
Document and improve
We prepare an incident report and help gather the technical information needed by your insurer or advisors. We also identify corrective actions to reduce the chance of the same issue happening again.
Response responsibilities, escalation arrangements and recovery priorities are established for your environment. Your agreement defines the associated coverage.
When IT needs a clear owner
Managed services are a good fit when routine IT work keeps getting pushed aside or too much depends on one busy person.
Employees lose time to recurring computer, email or access problems.
Updates, backups and security checks compete with more urgent work.
Accounts, licences or work passwords are difficult to keep organized as people join and leave.
You need a clearer picture of risks, upcoming replacements and IT spending.
Your internal IT person needs additional capacity or specialist support.
A client or insurer is asking for evidence of your security measures.
We start with the environment you have, identify the priorities and agree on the responsibilities we will take on.
Your IT team, or support for the one you have
Fully managed IT
If you do not have an internal IT team, we take responsibility for the agreed support, maintenance, security and administration of your environment. Employees have a clear place to ask for help, and management has a team to discuss priorities and upcoming work with.
You receive one defined service scope, ongoing follow-up and regular planning conversations. Projects such as a major migration, office move or equipment refresh are scoped in advance.
Co-managed IT
If you already have an IT person or team, we can take on defined responsibilities alongside them. That can include monitoring, security operations, backups, selected support tasks or additional capacity for projects and absences.
We agree on who handles each responsibility, how requests are routed and when an issue is escalated. Your internal team keeps a clear role and access to the information it needs.
How we get started
01
Understand the environment
We review your devices, servers, accounts, licences, network and current support arrangements. We discuss recurring problems, business priorities and the risks that need attention first.
02
Define and set up the service
We confirm the scope, responsibilities and monthly cost. We then coordinate access, deploy the agreed monitoring and security tools, document the environment and show employees how to get support.
03
Address the priorities
We work through the issues identified during the review: overdue updates, access gaps, backup problems or recurring support requests. Practical improvements, such as organizing a business password manager or simplifying approved sign-ins, can be included in that plan.
04
Maintain and review
We provide ongoing support, monitoring and maintenance. Quarterly reviews keep equipment, risks, projects and budgets aligned with what your business needs next.
A team that knows your environment
2018Practical IT support built around understanding how your business operates.
English and French
Employees can explain an issue and get help in the language they are comfortable using.
Remote and on-site support
On-site service in the Laurentides, Lanaudière, Laval and Montréal. Visits are coordinated according to the work and your agreement.
Your systems remain yours
Your business keeps ownership of its data and documentation, with authorized administrative access and a clear record of the environment we manage.
A monthly scope you can understand
Pricing depends on the environment we look after and the responsibilities you want us to take on. We review four things when preparing your proposal:
People
The number of users, their support needs and the accounts we administer.
Systems
The computers, servers, network equipment and cloud services under management.
Protection and recovery
The security tools, data to back up, retention requirements and recovery priorities.
Division of responsibilities
Fully managed or co-managed service, with clear ownership of the work.
Your written proposal separates recurring managed services, software licences, onboarding work and separately scoped projects. If a business password manager or another tool is recommended, we identify its licensing and setup requirements before you decide.
Managed IT is an ongoing agreement for looking after defined parts of your technology environment. It combines employee support, system maintenance, monitoring, security, backups and planning, with clear responsibilities and an agreed monthly scope.
Is this suitable for a small business?
Yes. We work with businesses ranging from a few workstations to several dozen users. The right scope depends on the systems you rely on, the support your employees need and any responsibilities already handled internally.
What are your support hours?
Our help desk answers during business hours through the support portal, by email or by phone. System monitoring and security alert handling continue 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Any additional support coverage and escalation arrangements are defined in your agreement.
Can you help remotely and on site?
Yes. We resolve many issues remotely and coordinate on-site work when it is needed. We provide on-site service in the Laurentides, Lanaudière, Laval and Montréal, according to the work and your agreement.
Can you work with our internal IT person?
Yes. With co-managed IT, we agree on the responsibilities we handle and the ones your team keeps. We can provide monitoring, security, backup management, selected support tasks or extra project capacity, with a clear escalation process and shared operational information.
What security measures do you manage?
Our services cover endpoint protection with managed detection and response, a 24/7 security operations centre, Microsoft 365 identity threat monitoring, email protection, multi-factor authentication, patch management and monitored backups. The selected controls are matched to your environment, risks and agreement.
What happens if we experience a cyberattack?
Alerts are analyzed 24/7, and a compromised computer can be isolated remotely. We coordinate containment, credential changes, recovery from available backups and incident documentation with you. We also help gather technical information for your insurer and advisors. The agreement defines the response responsibilities and coverage.
Do you verify that backups can be restored?
Yes. We monitor backup jobs and perform restore tests as part of the agreed backup service. We establish which servers, workstations and Microsoft 365 data are covered, how long copies are retained and what should be recovered first. Recovery options depend on the available backups and the incident.
Can you help us set up a business password manager?
Yes. We can help choose and deploy an appropriate tool, organize vault access and show employees how to use it. The setup covers account protection, recovery arrangements and how access changes when people join or leave. Removing vault access does not change a password someone already knows; shared credentials are reviewed and changed when required. Licensing and rollout are defined in your proposal.
Do we have to replace our existing tools?
No. We review what you already use, how it is configured and whether it meets your needs. We can work with suitable existing tools and recommend changes where there is a clear reason. Any replacement, licence change or rollout is discussed before it proceeds.
Who owns our data, accounts and passwords?
Your business retains ownership of its data, business accounts and documentation. We organize authorized administrative access and business credential management so continuity does not depend on one person’s personal account. Access to passwords and sensitive settings is limited to the people who need it; employees’ personal vaults are not a shared company resource.
Can you help with Law 25 or cyber-insurance requirements?
We help on the technical side: implementing and documenting measures such as access controls, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection and backups, and helping with insurers’ technical questionnaires. Your legal advisors and insurer determine the legal obligations and coverage requirements that apply to your business.
What happens during a quarterly review?
We review service issues, equipment condition, risks, backup priorities and upcoming work. We discuss replacement needs, licences, projects and budgets so you can make decisions with a clearer view of your environment.
How are pricing and the commitment period determined?
We prepare a proposal around your users, systems, protection and recovery needs, and the responsibilities we will take on. It identifies the monthly services, licences, onboarding and separately scoped work, along with the term and cancellation conditions. We review those details with you before the agreement starts.
